Dr Josko Zaja

Dr Zaja is a senior specialist anaesthetist with over 30 years of clinical experience, originally trained in Croatia and practising in Australia since 2015. He has been a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) since 2018.
He has been working in both public and private hospitals in Mackay, providing safe, efficient and patient-centred anaesthesia across a broad range of surgical specialties.
His special interests are orthopaedic anaesthesia and regional anaesthetic techniques (nerve blocks) for joint replacement, and he has strong experience in day-surgery anaesthesia and rapid recovery techniques.
